On October 28th, 2017, we introduced ourselves and engaged families in an engineering focused project that teaches the basics of simple circuitry
On November 25th, 2017, one of our Directors of Finance , Ronald Gibson provided our families with some insight on what money is and how it operates.The discussion focused on financial fitness as well as living a debt free life
On December 23rd, 2017 we introduced families to the hidden truths of the cosmetic industry. Many of the products we use today have a some form of toxic substance in them. We were able to develop natural deodorant, lip gloss, and 3 in 1 bodywash.
On January 17th, 2018, Lake Weston Elementary School invited us to their STEM to do a workshop for parents that focused on how parents could support learning in and out of the classroom with STEM project based learning.
On January 27th, 2018, Bev The Creatress introduced us to her passion for fashion and the upcycling of clothes and shoes. This was an awesome collaboration as STEAM education can be used to encourage entrepreneurship among our youth.
On February 1st, 2018, We were happy to sponsor dinner for Literacy Night! at Robinswood Middle School as well as provide parents and students with STEM activities that were focused on increasing literacy.
On February 3rd, 2018, We were invited by Seminole County Public Schools to sponsor and participate as a judge for their science and engineering fair at the Seminole Town Centre Mall in Sanford, FL. We were amazed by our future leaders and their projects that were connected to real world problems we have today. We were happy to congratulate Paris Pizer for receiving our Global Impact Award for project that focused on solving world hunger through the creation of home-based aquaponics systems.
On February 24th, 2018, we encouraged families to rethink the idea of soul food. We were challenged with the task of providing healthy recipes and tips to our families in Parramore, FL as there is only no full-scale grocery stores in the area. We researched quick and easy recipes based on the mini convienient grocery store and were able to create a healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert from the ingredients in the store.
On March 31st, 2018, we were happy to join Three Masks, Inc at their monthly art talk series and provide a math paint party. We helped students and parents understand how they can bring life to math concepts such as geometry, area, Fibonacci and symmetry with art!
On April 5th, 2018, we came to speak to the Realizing Everyone Applies To Life Talk Cafe about what we are doing in the community and to get them interested in STEAM education. They gained interest in STEAM as well as build paper circuits.
On April 28th, 2018, Tenaj D., the founder of MadCrafters Games showed families how they could turn video gaming into a business using the SCRATCH software. Tenaj D. was also interviewed alongside his father who is also an entrepreneur in the gaming industry. Both provided us with insight on how we can get our youth interested in the business side of the gaming industry.
On April 29th, 2018, we joined the Space Coast Early Childhood Intervention Center for their annual Family Fun Fest in Melbourne, FL. We were happy to be asked to be sponsor for this event. We served over 100 families providing STEAM resources and activities such as coding bracelets, paper circuits, and UV bracelets.
On May 26th, 2018, We ended a succesful year in the community by showing our appreciation with a DIY Ice Cream Social. We introduced a healthy alternative to traditional ice with making coconut ice cream sundaes!
On July 28th, 2018, we introduced the community to future of fashion with allowing them to create their own wearable technology by making their own LED bracelets!
On August 1st, 2018, eSTEAMed Learning, Inc has partnered with Luscious and Emma Nixon Academy Charter School to increase STEAM project-based learning opportunities within the school and the community. LENA will be hosting a few STEAM workshops.
On September 27th, 2018, our founder Candace Finley was honored to be a guest speaker for the Young Women of Excellence Club at Winter Springs High School. She was excited to share her experiences in her former school as well as other experiences that helped her become the mentor she is today. She left the ladies with an empowering message to prepare them for the future with STEAM!
On August 25th, 2018, we kicked off the 2018-2019 school year with showing parents how they could use STEAM to increase their child's learning at home and in the classroom. Teachers and parents were excited about realizing that anyone can become a STEAM educator!
On September 8, 2018, we had an awesome time learning about circuitry while making paper circuits! It turned out to be a ladies event and they rocked it!
On September 29th,2018, we introduced the community to engineering and microrobotics while building bristle bots! We had fun and were happy to see the adults being excited about STEAM as well as building their own bristle bot!
On October 27th, 2018, we enjoyed lunch with the families at LENA Charter Academy as well as documentary called "Fed Up" that focuses on the hidden truths about the food industry and the sugar epidemic in the US. We also discussed how we can make better choices when it comes to what we eat.
On November 10,2018 we discussed with families how technology is changing Florida into the next innovation hub. We introduced them to coding and encouraged them to engage in programming robot mice.
On November 18th, 2018, our founder Candace Finley was honored to be a guest speaker at the November meeting for the Moderneers of Orlando. She discussed with them how important they are as young men, how to build LED flashlights and how they can use STEAM to turn their interests into careers!
On November 30th, 2018, our founder Candace was honored to be a guest speaker along with David Schmidtt Engineering, Inc for engineer day at Timber Lakes Elementary in Orlando. She discussed with them the different roles an engineer in the STEAM industry as well as make solar bracelets.
On December 15th, 2018, we partnered with STEMSurge and YAM of Daytona to provide a STEAM workshop to encourage families to get creative when it comes to playtime. We helped families understand how STEAM can alleviate the financial burden when it comes to buying toys and make their own!
On February 22,2019, our founder, Candace Finley received the Sankofa Award at Young Men and Women of Excellence at Winter Springs High School for the work eSTEAMed Learning,Inc has been doing in the community! Last year in September, we spoke with the Young Women of Excellence to encourage them to get involved with STEAM education! We are honored and will continue to work in the community to increase STEAM diversity and opportunities for under served communities!
On February 28, 2019, our founder, Candace Finley was invited to speak with the youth at the Orange Regional Detention Center in Florida. The youth were inspired to get involved with STEAM and realize that their mistakes are a part of their journey to success!
On March 15th,2019, eSTEAMed Learning,Inc was honored to provide a STEAM workshop at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival! We introduced the Winter Park community to the eSTEAMed approach to STEAM learning while making LED bracelets! In two days we served over 300 families!
On April 14th, eSTEAMed Learning, Inc was invited to provide some STEAM resources and a STEAM activities to the community during HOPE Family Fun Day. This is annual event held by IHOPE Mentoring of Orlando, FL. The families enjoyed learning about STEAM and making their LED flashlights!
On June 22nd, 2019, we had a wonderful time learning about energy and optical illusions while decorating African tic tac drums to celebrate Juneteenth!
On October 21st, 2019, we had a great time learning about the chemistry behind color changing lemonade using the butterfly pea plant! This was a refreshing toast to Chemistry week as we discussed the marvelous zinc that is found in lemons!
On October 26th, 2019, we had a great time with the community making some STEAM inspired art at the Central Florida Veg fest! We made some beautiful fruit and veggie suncatchers!
On Nov 8th, 2019, we a great time with the families of Winter Park community! We enjoyed watching Toy Story 4 and snacking on some fresh popcorn!
On Dec 12th, 2019, we had the opportunity to partner with The Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community(PEC) and provide a code night in the historic town of Eatonville! Our families learned about the current trends in the coding and programming such as machine learning and artificial intelligence while completing the Hour of Code!
On January 31st, 2020, we had the opportunity to partner with The Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community and EA sports to host the Zora! STEM activity hub at the 2020 Zora Neale Hurston Festival of Arts and Humanities! They were over 1,200 students from grades K-12 in the Central Florida area who had the had the opportunity to engage STEAM project based activities that focused on topics such as coding, robotics, augmented reality, circuity, paleontogy, energy, and math centered art!
On February 16th,2020, we had the opportunity of sharing our STEAM intitiatives with the Winter Park Community at the 1st Annual 1619 Fest! This festival showcased the history of African American history in the United States! We had the opportunity to provide information about our upcoming events as well as engage the youth in building popsicle flashlights to teach them about electrical engineering!
On February 19th, 2020 we had the opportunity to partner with female engineers currently working the Central Florida area to provide our young ladies with the opportunity to network with the professionals as well as engage in STEAM project based learning opportunities related to their field of engineering! Our young ladies were able to meet professionals various fields of engineering that expressed the need for their representation in corporate fields as well as entrepreneurship
